New Delhi February 03 dmanewsdesk: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the chief guest at the Republic Day Parade, received a ceremonial reception from President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Wednesday.
This is Sisi’s first visit to India. Union ministers S.Jaishankar, Dharmendra Pradhan, Mansukh Mandaviya, and Piyush Goyal, and Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena were present at the ceremony.
Modi and Sisi held bilateral talks at Hyderabad House later in the day and announced that the two countries were elevating their relationship to a “strategic partnership”, vowing to expand ties in the areas of defence and security, trade, and counter-terror cooperation
