Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha trailer: Ajay Devgn and Tabu play star-crossed lovers

Also starring Jimmy Sheirgill, Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar, the Neeraj Pandey-directed romance drama is slated to hit theatres on July 5

Calcutta, Jun e 13, dmanewsdesk: Ajay Devgn and Tabu play star-crossed lovers separated by the former’s imprisonment in the trailer of Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming romance drama Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, dropped by production house NH Studioz on Thursday.

The three-minute-and-four-second-long trailer focuses on former lovers Krishna (Ajay) and Tabu, who have been separated by fate. Charged with two murders, Krishna spends almost twenty-three years in prison. Meanwhile, Tabu seemingly gets married to another man Abhijeet (Jimmy Sheirgill), perhaps against her will, for she still treasures the plastic engagement ring given to her by Krishna.

As he nears his release, Krishna hesitates to embrace his freedom. Tabu, who has been waiting for Krishna to finish his sentence, confesses that she thought about him every day during his imprisonment. Later, Krishna is introduced to Abhijeet, who questions him about the fateful night of the murders. In reply, Krishna says, “It is a problem with the mind which acts first and thinks or comprehends later.”

The trailer also features Shantanu Maheshwari as young Krishna, expressing his invincible love to Saiee Manjrekar’s character, later portrayed by Tabu.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is produced by Narendra Hirawat, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Sangeeta Ahir and Shital Bhatia.

The music for the film is composed by M.M. Kreem, while Praveen Kathkuloth serves as the editor.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is slated to arrive in cinemas on July 5.

Ajay Devgn was last seen in Vikas Bahl’s Shaitaan alongside R. Madhavan, Jyothika, Anngad Raaj and Janki Bodiwala. The 55-year-old actor is set to reprise his role as Bajirao Singham in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, the fifth film in the filmmaker’s cop universe and a sequel to the 2014 film Singham Returns. Alongside Ajay, the film features Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Jacky Shroff.

Tabu recently starred in Rajesh A Krishnan’s female-led heist comedy Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon.
