16 Bills, meet & greet — glimpses from day 1 of Winter Session of Parliament

New Delhi December 8 dmanewsdesk: The Modi government plans to introduce a total of 16 new Bills in the Winter Session of Parliament, which began Wednesday.
The session, which was delayed by a month because of the Gujarat assembly elections, will go on until 29 December.
Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar officiated as the chairman of the Rajya Sabha while Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the press.
Among the Bills slated for introduction this session are the Trade Marks (Amendment) Bill, 2022; the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) (Amendment) Bill, 2022; and The Repealing and Amending Bill, 2022.
The Trade Marks (Amendment) Bill seeks to incorporate certain aspects of the Madrid Registration System, an international system that provides a one-stop solution to enterprises for registering trademarks to help protect their brands in multiple countries.
