Cold wave grips parts of Rajasthan
Jaipur, January 28 dmanewsdesk: Cold wave conditions prevailed in parts of Rajasthan on Thursday with Mount Abu, the state’s only hill station, recording sub-zero temperatures, the meteorological department said.
According to the Met official, the weather will remain cold and dry in many parts of the state for the next 24 hours.
In Mount Abu, the mercury dipped to minus 3.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday night. It was for the second consecutive day that the minimum temperature settled at minus 3 degrees Celsius, he said.
Meanwhile, Sikar recorded a low of 2.5 degree Celsius followed by 1.8 degrees in Bhilwara, 3.4 degrees in Churu, 3 degrees in Chittorgarh, 3.9 degrees in Pilani and 4.5 degrees in Ganganagar.
Jaipur recorded a minimum temperature of 6 degrees Celsius.
A cold wave alert has been issued in Alwar, Bhilwara, Bharatpur, Chittorgarh, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Udaipur districts, the Met official said.
