5 new COVID-19 cases in Nagaland, total rises to 168
Kohima, Jun 14 dmanewsdesk: Five more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Nagaland on Sunday, taking the total number of infections in the state to 168, Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu said.
Twelve more persons recovered from COVID-19 in the state on Sunday, taking the total number of coronavirus recovered patients to 88.
“5 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported out of 232 samples tested. 3 from Mon QC & 2 from Peren QC,” tweeted the Health and Family Welfare minister.
Of the total 168 COVID-19 cases in Nagaland, 80 are active as 88 people have recovered, Health department officials said.
All the COVID-19 active patients are admitted at different COVID-19 hospitals while the recovered patients are kept at COVID-19 Care Centres for further observation and monitoring, officials said.
The current recovery rate of COVID-19 patients in Nagaland stands at 52.38 per cent, they said.
Of the total COVID-19 cases in the state, 105 are male and 63 are female.
Dimapur district has reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases with 121 patients, followed by Kohima (29), Mon (9), Tuensang (5) and Peren (4).
