While Modi took oath as PM for the third consecutive time, new faces that joined his cabinet include J.P. Nadda, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, H.D. Kumaraswamy and Chirag Paswan.
New Delhi, June 10, dmanewsdesk: Narendra Modi was sworn in as prime minister for the third time in a row at Delhi’s Rashtrapati Bhavan Sunday, along with 71 ministers of his new coalition government. Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari were among those who took oath in the presence of President Droupadi Murmu and other dignitaries.
Modi’s new cabinet will also include fresh faces like J.P. Nadda, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, H.D. Kumaraswamy and Chirag Paswan.
Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe, President of Maldives Mohamed Muizzu, Vice-President of Seychelles Ahmed Afif, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Prime Minister of Bhutan Tshering Tobgay attended the swearing-in ceremony.
Actors Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Rajnikanth were also present. Around 8,000 people attended the event, cultural events were also organised for the attendees. The swearing-in ceremony was followed by a dinner hosted by Nadda.
