More about the museum

The museum is designed inside two tram cars. The first one depicts the story of India’s rising resistance against the British Raj from the 1900s and shows the important moments between the 1900 to 1947. It also shows how Bengal and Punjab were divided into two states.

The second car tells post-partition stories. How the mass migration and rehabilitation took place.

The entry to the museum will be free of cost. The exhibition is permanent and will keep moving around the city. The trams are the charm of the city and have their own history and heritage.
