AEDEX + AIRPORT Expo brings together defence manufacturers, aerospace companies, govt agencies
NEW DELHI: (September 10 dmanewsdesk ) Defence manufacturers, aerospace companies, government agencies, armed forces, research organisations and technology providers have come together to showcase their next-generation technologies at the AEDEX + AIRPORT Expo being held at the India International Convention and Expo Centre here.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL), the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and its laboratories, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Apollo Micro Systems, HCL Software and Motorola Solutions are among the participants at the expo, which opened on Thursday and will go on till September 12.
During these three days, there will be the AEDEX conference, where deliberations on indigenisation, innovation, advanced technologies, manufacturing capabilities and the evolving requirements of India’s armed forces will take place.
Running concurrently, the AIRPORT Expo will focus on the transformation of the country’s airport and aviation ecosystem.
Key areas of discussion will include smart airports, digital identity, artificial intelligence, seamless passenger experience, sustainability, net-zero aviation, airport-led economic development, cargo and logistics and future airport operations.
One of the main organisers of the event is the Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies and Industries (SIATI), established to bring together industries, research-and-development institutions and other organisations engaged in aerospace and related technologies on a common platform.
