I loved Rati Agnihotri in ‘Shaukeen': Lisa Haydon

LISSMumbai, Nov 03: Actress Lisa Haydon says she’s a fan of Rati Agnihotri’s performance within the 1982 film “Shaukeen”, that has inspired the forthcoming film “The Shaukeens”.

“Shaukeen”, a cult film by Basu Chatterjee, marked Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt, A.K. Hangal and Rati in key roles.

The new age film “The Shaukeens”, that releases Friday, features Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor and Piyush Mishra.

Lisa said: “Rati Agnihotri was fantastic within the (1982) film. I utterly adored her.”

She conjointly processed that her character Ahana in “The Shaukeens” is extremely different from Rati’s part.

“I am enjoying the actual fact that the humour during this comedy is extremely apologetic . each actor has created a good effort to mock himself,” she said.

The expertise of functioning on “The Shaukeens” has been fantastic for Lisa, who has been noticed  for her add “Aisha” and “Queen” within the past.

“‘Queen’ was equally satisfying in its own means, even though it was a small film. ‘The Shaukeens’ has given me a chance to figure with superb actors. i do not suppose I have seen a comedy like this in Indian cinema before,” she said.

The film is directed by Abhishek Sharma.

Lisa’s role was earlier offered to Nargis Fakhri. But no, she is not complaining .

“I do not complain concerning my blessings,” aforesaid the dusky beauty.
