Arth celebrates an art festival from 8th – 10th Feb, IGNCA lawns

New Delhi 4th Feb:  Arth, an entity which creates a platform for lovers of art and culture to learn and celebrate Indian culture across all its dimensions, is organizing an art festival from 8th to 10th Feb at IGNCA lawns.

Arth isn’t merely a festival, but a culture quest that will keep alive the meaning of our culture. This festival will focus on literature, culture, society, music, traditions, history and art. The national leg of the festival will be held in Delhi in February. Smaller satellite shows will be hosted in Kolkata and Pune in December and January respectively.

The two day long events comprises of Talks, Panel discussions, Cultural performances and Exhibition & Sale of products by Master craft persons. Also, one could enjoy the live demo and participate in Master class.

The event also includes craft skills like Pattachitra and palm leaf painting from Orissa, Patua folk painting from Bengal, Bhil  Pithora tribal painting from  MP, Madhubani folk painting from Bihar, Miniature painting  Kangra style from Himachal, block printing from  Sanganer Rajasthan. Cherial folk painting from Telengana, sanjhi paper cutting art from UP, paper machine craft from Bihar, chittara tribal painting from Karnataka,Warli tribal painting from Maharashtra., cherial saw dust masks from  Telangana, gond tribal painting from MP clay pottery from Rajasthan, handloom weaving from Assam.
